EXIRA-EHK Quarterback Club
“Team”
Hello Spartan Football Fans!
It is unbelievable that the 2021 football season has begun, with everything that has happened this year! Camp began August 3rd and official practice started August 9th. This year we have 25 young men out for football. Although this year’s team is young, we are hoping for an exciting season. The Quarterback Club provides several different things for the players during the season.
Over the years, the QBC has helped Spartan football with:
*providing food for every varsity away game (sandwiches, chips, cookies, bananas, Gatorade/water)
*helped out with the cost of football camps, to include helping with the cost of shorts and t-shirts.
*meals at the UNI Dome
*football gear provided
*water bottles and football plaques at the end of the season to every player
*football yard signs for the players
*book at the end of the season that contains pictures, stats, etc. of the entire season for each player
*sideline jackets purchased
*duffle bags supplied for every athlete
*sideline headphones for coaching staff
The QBC also supports any updating needed in the weight room throughout the year as well.
We encourage ALL football parents to become members. In addition to your membership, here are a few things the QBC needs your help with: Making away game sandwiches (contact Tamie Fahn) and helping make the post season booklets.
The Quarterback Club does a lot of positive things for our young athletes, and they deserve it. In addition to helping out and supporting our players, all members will be recognized on home football game programs. Below are the different levels that we have for anyone who is interested. We appreciate all the support from the communities. We look forward to seeing you at the games. GO SPARTANS!
Membership Levels:
Black $30.00 – 74.00
Silver $150.00 – 249.00
Maroon $75.00 – 149.00
Spartan $250 and above
Mark your calendars for the first home game at the Spartan football field in Exira on Sept 4th at 7:00 p.m. versus the CRB Crusaders. We hope to see you there! Social Distancing is encouraged.
Sincerely,
The Quarterback Club

The Exira-EHK HS TAG service project benefited both our students and staff in this school year. Last school year, Ashley Hansen and Macy Emgarten, two high school TAG students, worked towards this goal of supplying students and teachers with items that they need, called a “Spartan Teacher Supply Crate.” The crates included the essential supplies needed for their students’ school year such as Crayola markers, dry erase markers, crayons, glue sticks, pencils, scissors, erasers, kleenex tissues, and more. In recent years, teachers have had to use their own funds to support their students in need of more supplies. Due to last year’s circumstances, we have come to find out that our students are in dire need of these supplies. They gave out these Spartan Teacher Supply Crates at this year’s Open House.
Our TAG students shared their project idea with our local businesses, clubs and individuals and their donations totaled over $2,520 for purchasing these supplies for each teacher. “A big THANK YOU goes to all these businesses, clubs and individuals who were the Exira Lions Club; the Spartan Leo Club, Spartan Booster Club; Precision Concrete Services; Shelby County Bank; TJ’s Pour House, Danish Mutual Insurance; Rasmussen, Nelson & Wonio, PLC; Waspy’s Truck Stop; Spartan Insurance LLC; Exira Care Center Corporation; Exira Plumbing, Heating & Electrical LLC; Myrtue Medical Center; Exira Exchange Bank; Landmands Bank; Ohde Funeral Home; Margaret Olson; Doris Jones; Laura Hunt; Trisha & Bruce Boehm; Lisa Dreier and Connie Jessen who the donated funds for this project . Our TAG program will make sure each donation gets used wisely and distributed to the teacher throughout the year. Another big THANK YOU goes out to the two high school TAG students for an amazing service project!.” expressed Lisa Dreier, high school TAG instructor.
Today is the day Spartans! The day our staff has been SOOOO excited for! This morning we get to see all of your excited faces! Exira-EHK's staff has been working so hard the last week AND even this summer in preparation for your arrival! It is a great day to be a Spartan!
