A great big CONGRATULATIONS goes out to the Exira-EHK speech students this weekend! Students left EARLY Saturday morning for Waukee Northwest High School! Our first entry performed at 8:10 AM and our last one performed at 3:20 PM.
Exira-EHK took 21 entries to perform, with many new faces to speech!! We were able to secure 10 division 1 ratings! These students receiving a division 1 rating now have the opportunity to perform at the State IHSSA competition that will be held at ADM High School on March 9th!
Great job to ALL students! Even if they got a division 2 rating, speech is NOT easy! So make sure to give a big congratulations to these students!
Due to our 'wonder-ful' One School One Book, 5th graders started our month of empathy with quotes and encouragement. Thanks Jaxtin and Remy!
FFA Week ended on a high with members of the high school bringing "Ag Olympics" to the elementary. Students 'hearded cows,' 'barrel raced horses,' dove for animals in the corn, had feed sack races, and dressed as a farmer.
Hey Spartan Nation, In honor of such an awesome One School One Book, become a member of the "Spartan Kindness Crew!" Any and all welcome to order! Orders due March 3rd at 10 pm.
